Gamecock student-athletes signed thank you cards and voiced their appreciation for Gamecock Club members on Donor Appreciation Day Friday November 14th.
Before the kickoff of the Texas A&M game, Bob Maxwell of Irmo was honored as the Gamecock Club’s Legendary Fan of the game.
“It was a really nice experience and it is great to be able to celebrate with family,” Maxwell commented.

The University of South Carolina Association of Lettermen continued its celebratory weekend by following Thursday’s Hall of Fame induction with a day of fun at Cobblestone Park Golf Club.
The annual golf tournament for the Association of Lettermen had its largest turnout on record with 32 foursomes competing in a captain’s choice format.

Renovations to the plaza surrounding Williams-Brice Stadium have provided an aesthetic look to the entrance of the stadium, including beautiful greenery, brick entrance ways, and a large bronze statue of Gamecock legend, George Rogers. The new Football Indoor Practice Facility was recently completed just west of Gamecock Park. Directly to the north of the new indoor complex are new football practice fields. The indoor facility has a regulation 100-yard Astroturf football field and includes restrooms, athletic training rooms and film towers.
The new outdoor track and field oval will seat 1,450 with support building for storage and restrooms. The Athletics Village promenade walkway will be extended from Carolina softball to Rosewood Drive to support this new facility.

Construction began in the summer of 2015 on a building located next to the Eugene E. Stone III Soccer Stadium, which will house locker rooms, weight room and a video room. This project was completed in the Fall of 2016.
