WHAT IS PLEDGE CAROLINA?
PLEDGE CAROLINA is a brand-new initiative that provides Gamecock fans the fun and unique opportunity to support South Carolina Athletics programs and student-athletes through making a pledge per win, score and/or academic honor starting with the 2021 Gamecock Football season. All funds raised through PLEDGE CAROLINA will benefit the Athletics Excellence Fund.
Gamecock fans can participate in PLEDGE CAROLINA through choosing to pledge per men’s and/or women’s basketball win for the duration of the season:
- $20.01 per win
Gamecock fans can also participate through making an academic pledge for the 2021-22 academic year. This past year, South Carolina student-athletes led the SEC in Academic Honor Roll honorees and PLEDGE CAROLINA is a great opportunity to support our student-athletes off the field as well through one or more of the following pledges:
- $4.00 per student-athlete that makes the President’s List (4.0 GPA)
- $1.00 per student-athlete that makes the Dean’s List (3.5+ GPA).
All pledges will be charged on a weekly basis until the conclusion of each respective season.

When will I be charged for my pledge?
Your PLEDGE CAROLINA will be charged on a weekly basis until the conclusion of each season.
Does my PLEDGE CAROLINA pledge count towards my Gamecock Club priority points?
Yes! You will receive 1 priority point per $100 donated on your PLEDGE CAROLINA pledge, consistent with the Gamecock Club priority point structure.
Can I upgrade, modify, or opt-out of my pledge during the season?
Yes. To upgrade, modify, or opt-out of your pledge at any time throughout the season, please email GCClub@mailbox.sc.edu. Per the terms and conditions, in order to upgrade, modify or opt-out of your pledge requests must be submitted via email three business days prior to changes going into effect.
I have opted-out of my pledge during the season. Can I receive a refund for pledge payments that have already been charged for past wins?
Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued for past pledge payments.
Will PLEDGE CAROLINA apply to the postseason?
Yes. PLEDGE CAROLINA pledges will apply to the postseason.
Will I receive a notification ahead of time for each charge?
Your enrollment into the PLEDGE CAROLINA campaign is authorization for the Gamecock Club to charge your credit card for your pledge.
I need to change my card information. Who should I contact?
Please call The Gamecock Club at 803-777-4276. Please DO NOT send your card information via email.
If I start my PLEDGE CAROLINA pledge mid-way through the season, will I get back charged for the games that occurred prior to my pledge?
No – your pledge will start after you sign up for PLEDGE CAROLINA and the Gamecock Club will not back charge you for missed games.
Can I pledge more than the set amount per item?
Yes! If you would like to pledge more than the set amount per item, please email GCClub@mailbox.sc.edu and we are happy to adjust your pledge!
